Berczik Sára Budai Dance Club
Founded in 1962
Berczik Sára Budai Dance Club has been working and serving dance art from early childhood to adulthood for 55 years. 1200 students enrol annually and participate its programs from Budapest and its surroundings.
Our institute is operated by the Cultural Public Utility Non-profit Ltd. of the 2nd district and also gives place for the Berczik Sári Néni Foundation.
Students can get education in a large scale of dance genres from our classical ballet, artistic gymnastics and modern dance faculties from early childhood to senior age groups.

Faculty of Artistic Gimnastics
Its major profile: teaching "aesthetic movement" Sára Berzik's methodology and artistic gymnastics. Following our great predecessors Sára Berczik and her contemporary Klára Hajós, highly respected artists of movement give lessons to students from the age of 4 to adulthood.
Berczik gymnastics that is based on aesthetic movement is popular among senior ages, which provides pleasant, sophisticated, quality posture-improving conditioning body training for ladies.

FACULTY OF CLASSICAL BALLET
Since the beginnings together with artistic gymnastics our school offers classical ballet classes from nursery school age to adulthood, where students can also practice step and Pointe techniques.
As a result of the work of our teachers several students got admission to the Hungarian Dance Academy; Laterna Magica Dance Ensemble was founded by our talented classical ballet students.

FACULTY OF MODERN DANCE
Modern and contemporary dance genres gain increasing role in today's dance scene. Our Dance Club keeps up with the trends and we have included these genres in our teaching repertoire since 2010. Students may choose among modern and contemporary dance forms.

DANCE EXHIBITION
25-26. April 2020
Cultural event with the intention to establish tradition: professional forum, workshop, amateur dance educator gathering and fine art exhibition in the honour of the World Day of Dance.
Visitors arrive from all over the country.
For 2019 we plan professional presentations, fine art exhibitions in the framework of a contemporary dance festival. We expect the representatives of dance art professionals and amateurs, the general public committed to dance to participate.
Competition

Age groups: children, junior, juvenile and adult
Entering fee: HUF 8000,- for solo, duo performances and group performances.

Genre categories: Art of movement, artistic gymnastics with hand tools, classical ballet, jazz dance, character dance, modern dance and contemporary dance.
Age groups: children, junior, juvenile and adult.
Competitions are organised by the age groups.
Entering fee: HUF 6.000,- for solo and duo performances, HUF 8.000,- for group performances
